Minnesota had three female athletes produce hammer throws of 63 meters or better in the same competition, the first time that has happened for any collegiate program in the past decade, at the 24th Beach Invitational at Long Beach State. Temi Ogunrinde won with a sixth-round throw of 220-2 (67.12m), Nayoka Clunis placed fourth with a fourth-round effort of 210-10 (64.26m) and Agnes Esser finished sixth with a fifth-round performance of 208-9 (63.62m), all ranking in the top 15 in NCAA Division 1 this season.
